‘I Hope Sis Ready’: Yandy Smith’s Husband, Mendecees Harris Is ‘Headed Home Soon’

It looks like “Love and Hip Hop: New York” star Yandy Smith-Harris will be reunited with her husband Mendeecees Harris sooner than fans thought.

It’s no secret Mendeecees, 41, has been behind bars for years after he was convicted of drug trafficking a few years ago. He was reportedly scheduled to get out of prison next year, but it seems he may be coming home within a few more weeks, according to a recent social media post he shared.

Sunday afternoon, the “LHHNY” actor took to Instagram and posted a photo of himself and a few of his fellow inmates. He suggested he’d be home soon and wrote, “Had to take a pick with my guys before I leave them, All Good Guys Salute ✊🏽.” He also added in a separate post, “This the perfect time to be smiling, #Bless 👊🏽.”

According to the Bureau of Prisons, Harris will be released from prison in October 2020, but the Shade Room, citing unidentified sources, says the television personality could be released in the next month and will be home no later than December 15.

Yandy hasn’t confirmed any of these details, but social media users are stoked about the couple reuniting after all of these years.

In 2015 Mendeecees was sentenced to 8 to 10 years in prison after he admitted in a plea deal that he shipped cocaine and heroin from New York City to Rochester, New York, between the years of 2006 and 2008. He began serving his prison term in January 2016 and was already credited with serving 15 months. He was first locked up in Pennsylvania but was later moved to a medium-security prison in New Jersey.

The father of four shares two children with Yandy, Skylar Harris, 4, and Omere Harris, 7. He also has two sons from previous relationships.
