It looks like Safaree Samuels is getting apprehended by the internet police.
The “Love and Hip Hop: New York” star uploaded a video that shows him dancing with the newborn daughter he shares with wife Erica Mena — when he caught flak from an army of social media users.
The happy father took to Instagram on Tuesday and told fans he’d help calm his 3-week-old daughter after she began crying. He’d placed his daughter in his arms and over his shoulders, and started happily dancing to Bob Marley’s “I Shot the Sheriff.”
Samuels held the child’s neck and head in one hand and her bottom in another. He gave his daughter a peck on the head and wrote in his caption, “She started crying and I started shoulder flinging and it went away. 😂 she don’t like showing her face 😂 #babysamuels it’s daddy daughter dance month so imma take advantage 🎉😍 I love how tiny she is 😇”
His fans instantly gushed over the video.
“So adorable , ur gonna be a great dad 😍 I know the baby is cute af “
“Awww super dad I’m so happy for you & @iamerica_mena ❤️ too cute”
Others slammed the new father for apparently being “too rough” with his daughter.
“Too rough.. she scared. 🤦🏾♀you have to support her back as well her spinal column are not strong as of yet.”
“Omg be careful I am scared 😦 that’s too much shaking. Erica come get the baby sis!”
When one person jokingly told Samuels’ to be more gentle with the infant, he replied, “haaa wifey says tim too ruff too!”
Mena never responded to the comments.
Despite the mistakes Samuels may or may not make as a first-time parent, his loyal followers believe he’s an amazing father. On Monday, the “Hunnid” rapper posted a video where he’s doing a victory dance after going to five different locations to buy his daughter a pair of diapers. He wrote, “I just went diaper shopping for the 1st time and it took forever to find newborn pampers size so this will be my dance to celebrate finding em.”
Fans applauded him for staying on daddy duties.
“What a good dad❤️ @safaree the joy you have in being a father is amazing”
“Good job dad ❤️ that’s a proud moment U should’ve gotten the case u gone be right back on that same trip tomorrow lol”
