It seems Keyshia Cole‘s son Daniel Gibson Jr. is a carbon copy of his mother.
The “Heaven Sent” singer took to Instagram on Thursday and uploaded a series of images of herself and her 9-year-old son enjoying a parent day together at his elementary school. One of the photos showed the second-time mother and DJ taking a quick selfie together.
Cole gushed over spending time with her son and mentioned the child’s upcoming birthday in March.
“Parent day at school today. I love being “mommy” and loving on mine,” she wrote. “Can’t believe he’s about to be 10!!!!!!! I gotta do it up for him this year! Hmmmmm🤔 Can u guys give me BDay IDEAS FOR HIS 10th BDay bash extravaganza🥳??”
Fans responded, also making mention of how much her DJ resembled Cole.

Cole shares 9-year-old DJ with her estranged husband, the former NBA player Daniel Gibson.
She and Gibson tied the knot in 2011 but eventually separated in 2014 after rumors spread of infidelity. Cole filed to end her marriage to Gibson in September 2017, citing irreconcilable differences. As of October 2019, both parties were ordered by a judge to appear in Los Angeles County court for a hearing on March 16, 2020, to continue on with their divorce or possibly have it dismissed.
The 38-year-old crooner is currently with boyfriend Niko “Khale” Hale. The couple extended their growing family last August, when they welcomed son Tobias Khale to their unit.
