Singer Keyshia Cole is more refreshed than ever after taking a break from social media a few weeks ago.
The 38-year-old crooner stepped away from Instagram and Twitter just two days before Christmas. She, however, popped back up on social media this weekend and posted a flyer of an audition she was holding for dancers, singers and other new talent to join her onstage.
Along with a flyer of herself, Cole wrote on January 18, “Back and refreshed, ready for this NEW YEAR. Looking for NEW TALENT. BAND AND DANCERS, refreshing, ENERGETIC, HUMBLE, TALENTED PEOPLE ❤️.”
Fans instantly bombarded Cole with a slew of welcome back messages.
“Welcome back sis ,” an Instagram fan said. “I’m happy you’re back you were definitely missed 💙”
“I can’t believe she’s back!!! Yes a new you,” another added. “Don’t let anyone ever make you get off of here again @KeyshiaCole. Go for it go girl!”
“Yess soo ready for this new era for you,” someone tweeted. ” gonna be a epic one .. also you gonna snap in you and Kehlani new video”
A second Twitter user added, “Welcome back sweetheart!!! you don’t understand how much I missed you around here! I was really upset without you, thank god you’re back, hope you’re doing well and feeling healthy ❤️”
Cole’s supposed social media detox came days after she was being trolled by rapper O.T. Genasis.
The “Everybody Mad” rapper remixed the singer’s 2005 classic hit single “Love” and added a “Crip” touch to it. When Cole expressed she didn’t like Genasis’ rendition of her song, he quickly began trolling her on IG. He even shared a photo of their two faces meshed together and captioned it, “O’Keyshia dropping soon.”
Days later, the mother of two disabled all social media accounts. Before doing so, she did say on her Fox Soul “One on One with Keyshia Cole” show, “I would like my classics to be left alone. Is that wrong as an artist to say?”
Social media users had mixed reactions to the online feud by the artists who both have residences in California.
“She so pressed like sweetie 😂 you should of just collab with him and made yo money that way!”
