Steve Harvey was a guest on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Monday, where he talked about Kelly Clarkson replacing his show “Steve.”
Word came last year that the “American Idol” singer would be taking over his NBC time slot, which Harvey blasted the show’s distributors NBCUniversal about. The comedian says he was blindsided by the decision and learned of it after it was announced publicly.

It’s not clear if Harvey still has beef with NBCUniversal, but he doesn’t hold a grudge against Clarkson, which he conveyed to DeGeneres during their sit down. Still, he doesn’t have plans to watch her show.
“I like Kelly Clarkson,” said Harvey, 62, at the interview. “I’m happy for her. One of my friends said, ‘Man, that’s really big of you to be happy for somebody who replaced your show.’ I said, ‘No, I’m happy for her.'”
“‘So you watch?'” his friend asked?
“I said, ‘I ain’t that happy,’ ” Harvey told him. The veteran entertainer then called Clarkson “Cool people.” (Watch below)
Earlier in the interview, the “Family Feud” host talked about the IG video that went viral. The clip was posted to his page on Dec. 21, 2019, and it showed him grooming his famous mustache.
Harvey said that his son recorded the video, which he didn’t appreciate at all.
“I’m doing my mustache, it’s a private moment. My son is in the dressing room,” he explained. “I’m in Africa and I don’t know that he’s doing this, ’cause he’s my son and I don’t have to watch him and who told his stupid behind to post it. Then he posted it and it went crazy.”
“All the comments was, ‘Steve Harvey uses a Bevel.’ It’s a cordless clipper and that went viral. So I’m only here for one reason: To get a sponsorship from Bevel.”
In regards to Harvey’s talk show, a new version of it is now on Facebook Watch. It premiered earlier this month and is filmed at Tyler Perry‘s new film studio in Atlanta. Watch below.
