Tami Roman is living her best life since skipping out on the “Basketball Wives” reunion earlier this month, and fans are loving what they see. But when one of her followers left what was meant as a compliment under a recent Instagram post, things swiftly took a turn.
Roman uploaded a brief video on the set of a photo shoot for African-American fashion publication Kontrol Magazine Tuesday. Styled by the magazine’s founder, stylist Julian Lark, Roman sat in a black bodysuit and a cage-like overlay that covered her legs. She accented the look with a set of chunky silver-colored bangles and oversized sunglasses.
In the caption of the shoot, which was soundtracked to Brandy’s song “Put It Down” featuring Chris Brown, Roman wrote that Lark and the fashion publication “took me WAAAAY out of my comfort zone! You should know ahead of time that the dimple on my thigh WILL NOT be making an appearance in the final photo 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️😂😂😂😂💯 #ISaidWhatISaid.”
Dimple and all, fans instantly began raving over Roman’s look.
“Representing for all us women with them dimples tho! 😍Looking hot!”
“Tami you look AMAZING, and the last statement took me OUT! 🤣🤣😂😍”
“Keep the dimple boo!!! U look🔥❤️”
However, a well-meaning fan caught some playful heat from Roman when they said, “If that’s what 50 looks like, I’m taking notes. Beautiful.”
“@solivanwendy 50ooooo! Soldier boy voice 😂😂😂😂 im knocking but that s–t ain’t answered yet 49 & fine 😂” Roman replied, correcting the Instagram user.
Others responded with laughter and backed up the ex-reality TV star.
“😂😂 she tried it”
“@tamiroman 😭😭😭😭 she said hold your horses buddy 😂😂”
“@tamiroman 😂😂😂👏👏👏 I’m weak as hell!! 49 and KILLING THE GAME !!”
Roman has been showing off on Instagram as of late, appearing to feel free from the weight of “Basketball Wives,” which she has been a part of since season 2. After saying goodbye to the show in episode 13 of season 8 last week, Roman has kept her head up by sharing positive messages on Instagram.
“You have to be able to talk yourself off the ledge, be your own cheerleader, your own motivator,” read a quote from Roman on Monday. “Don’t put the key to success in man. It’s a you and God thing.”
Additionally, the star has shared upcoming acting projects she has in the works. A week ago, Roman eagerly revealed she’s been cast as a series regular in the Hulu comedy “The Ms. Pat Show.”
“Two words…MY GOD! I am so excited to be apart of @comediennemspat #TheMsPatShow A new beginning to create new memories with @hulu,” she said in part on Instagram Sept. 10.
