During Wednesday night’s episode, Roman said in a confessional that she was hanging it up on the VH1 series she first joined in season 2.
“I’m in a different head space in my life right now,” Roman explains. “And I really want to try to live my life as close to black excellence as I can. I’ve been around these girls since 2010 and I think it’s just time for me to move on.
“Over the course of my time with these ladies, it has definitely shaped me into who I am today,” she continues. “We’ve laughed, we have cried. They have supported me in my endeavors and I have supported them. I have been at the forefront of some of the most BS moments in history, and I wanna do better because I know to do better. It’s been nine years, it’s been a good run.
“Is this the end of ‘Basketball Wives’ for Tami? Yeah, yeah it is,” she concluded.
But one of the show’s viewers wasn’t too concerned. Responding to a tweet Roman sent to a fan in which she said her exit was “definitely bittersweet,” the viewer said, “She will be back next season ain’t nobody checking for tami ass like that.”
Roman caught the reply and hit back on her Twitter account Thursday.
“Now this is funny!!! You can unfollow my ‘nobody checking for me’ ass at any time because I sure wasn’t following you 🤷🏽♀️ ✌🏾,” she said Sept. 12.
Fans of Roman instantly raved about her putting the Twitter user in their place.
“Tami said she got time today.”
“Lmaoo #CHECK AND #CHECKMATE 😂😂👋🏾✋🏾✋🏾👋🏾”
“Boop! Chin checked her. Now back to the bag.”
” 😂🤣😂YASS TAMI, SPEAK!!!!”
Others reminded the star they’re totally here for her.
“Shoe line, acting gigs, music. True fans know who is checking for you sis!”
“@TamiRoman I’m checking for you tho! You can follow me anytime 😂😂. I still say you belonged on RHOH and they based Cookie Lyon off of you & @LilKim 😂💯. You’re way above BBW now and you’ve evolved. The rest of them need to take note and grow up a couple lifetimes. Stay winning.”
