Longtime friend of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Marlo Hampton recently enjoyed some time assuming auntie duties when she hung out with some of her co-stars and their little ones. But somehow, fans managed to peep some drama brewing once Nene Leakes commented on the photo op.
Hampton joined Porsha Williams and Shamea Morton for some bonding over the weekend, where they ate good food with pals, including Williams’ mom, Ms. Diane, and her mother-in-law, Gina. Hampton also carved out time to cuddle with Morton’s daughter Shya and Williams’ baby Pilar.
“A day well spent with the cutest brown babies 🍼👼🏾and girl talk with @porsha4real @shameamorton and Ms Diane over bomb food 😋. #timewellspent #brunchwasbomb,” Hampton captioned the post she shared to her Instagram account Sunday.
Many fans applauded the gathering.

But then, Leakes commented, “I seeeeee what they doing! My eyes wide open👀.”
The remark led fans to speculate that drama was bubbling up among the crew.
“Here tf we go! Nobody is tryna steal your friends Nene. S–t go play with Greg.”
“Nene don’t want marlo close to the other girls and bravo setting Marlo to film more with porsha to set nene off. And nene as expected is already making nasty comments.”
“So what she is saying as a grown woman is that ‘if your friends with them, you can’t be friends with me?’ That’s pretty childish!”
However, the speculation was thwarted after Hampton stepped in and responded to Leakes, giving context to exactly what the longtime “RHOA” star was referring to in her comment.
“@neneleakes yes sis they trying to make my ass have a baby 👼🏾😫knowing darn well I’m raising 2 boys right now 🤣,” Hampton replied, remarking on her nephews.
Leakes has been estranged from her “RHOA” co-stars since March, when the season 11 reunion filmed. Yet, as her co-stars and pals became simply her co-workers, Hampton has always been counted as a friend. Still, while no drama may be brewing between Leakes and Hampton, a report from HollywoodLife.com last month revealed that season 12 is set to be Nene vs. Porsha and Kenya Moore.
“Kenya and Porsha will never see eye to eye with NeNe. This season feels like Kenya and Porsha versus NeNe,” an insider told the website. “They all seem to tolerate one another as employees, but that’s it. A lot of the drama and fighting will center around these three ladies going at it constantly.”
