Former “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” actress Tommie Lee flipped out at fans over the weekend after they came for her apparent grammar mistakes.
Earlier this year, rumors spread that Lee was fired from “LHHATL” after she was hit with several child abuse charges in October. It’s unclear if she resigned or was fired from the show due to her legal woes, unruly behavior and/or excessive drinking, but one thing is for certain, the mother of two claimed she won’t be reappearing on the series.
“No I am not nor will I ever return to love&hiphop so pls stop asking that error is dead! #tommies–t,” Lee wrote in red lettering via her Instagram Story on Saturday, answering fans’ most asked question.
She added, “I’m much happier to not be under that umbrella it was misery and depression there.”
Fans quickly pointed out that Lee used the word “error” incorrectly in her sentence, saying that it should be “era.”
“Celebrities that cant spell lol you meant ‘era’ sis! But we get it 😭🤦🏾♀️!”
“So you’re mad at us because you don’t know the difference between era and error 😂 okay girl”
“There is an error 👀… (Whispers) Era*…..but we knew what you meant sis, continue. Should have went to college”
Lee of course caught wind of all the backlash she was receiving and made a video addressing online “grammar police.”
“Y’all mutherf–kers think y’all are so f–king smart and everybody so let me use era and error in a sentence,” Lee said in her video. “The era that you millennial babies were born in, your mother made an error by having you dumb mutherf–kers.”
She also added in her caption, “FYI I’m very educated and would’ve graduated from college but the line was too fuckin long B–CH 🖕🏾”
Fans also defended Lee.
“She definitely meant Error idiots reread 🙄 don’t try to make Tommie look dumb”
“She meant error though. Y’all just love to be spellchecks 😂 i do wish she was back on LHHATL tho”
Lee left season 7 of “LHHATL” on shaky grounds after being put on blast for her excessive drinking. At one point, she was prevented from filming due to her violent outbursts. She did, however, reveal during the season that alcoholism ran deep in her family. She added that drinking helps her cope with a lot of hardships going on in her life.
“I don’t really have support,” she said during her confessional that season. “To deal with the thoughts of my mom, not liking me, hating me and the stress that I’m going through with my brothers and sisters like how big my heart is and open to everybody — they don’t feel the same way about me so that kinda like hurts.”
The “LHHATL” alum is currently on 10 years of probation from her child abuse case she resolved in May. She must stay out of trouble during her probation sentence or she faces being immediately hauled off to prison.
