In Happy News: ‘LHHATL’ Star Tommie Lee Avoids Prison Time in Child Abuse Case

It looks like “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Tommie Lee has been let off the hook from prison.

During Lee’s sentencing on Friday in her child abuse case, she pleaded guilty to five charges out of the seven she was hit with, including first-degree cruelty to children, TMZ reported. She was facing 54 years behind bars, but luckily for her, she won’t be serving any time in the slammer if she meets one condition: She must stay out of trouble.

A Georgia judge handed down 10 years of probation to the television personality who has been ordered to attend a residential recovery program. After her program is completed, she must spend nearly a year in aftercare with licensed professionals.

Lee, who reportedly has over 30 mugshots, must stay out of trouble during her probation sentence or she immediately will be hauled off to prison according to the news source. The conditions of her probation say she’s prohibited from traveling outside the state of Georgia without consent from the court, she can’t have a violent encounter with a child and she’s prevented from attending a setting where drugs and alcohol are present.

There’s more. She’s also been given an 11 p.m. curfew, she must comply with random drug testing and dish out $1,000 for a fine. Lee is currently out of jail and has entered her recovery program, the repoirt claimed.

Last October, Lee was arrested and charged with child cruelty for physically assaulting her younger daughter at the child’s middle school. She was arrested and then released the day after the alleged incident but was thrown back in jail within 24 hours on charges of violating an order to refrain from all contact with the child.

She spent two months behind bars for the incident, but hauled back off to jail due to violating her bond. She arrived to court intoxicated for her child abuse case on March 14. Family and friends reportedly told TMZ that the 34-year-old had been attempting sobriety weeks before she was scheduled to show up to court last month, but the stress of her child abuse case allegedly triggered her to fall off the wagon.

She requested to enter into a mental health program in March, but was denied due to her long history of criminal activity.

Despite Lee’s ongoing legal woes, fans continue to shower her with a stream of support.
