‘Happily Ever After’: Remy Ma, Husband Papoose Exult at End of Her Parole Term

It seems Grammy Award-nominated rapper Remy Ma is officially off parole.

The “Mackies,” aka Remy and her husband, hip-hop artist Papoose, were spotted Thursday evening living their best lives, seemingly in their home city of New York. The video recorded by the “Black Love” rapper, showed himself and his wife enjoying a boat ride, surrounded by loved ones.

Indulging in beer and music, Remy and Papoose began jamming to Frankie Beverly and Maze’s famous track “Before I Let Go,” reciting the lyrics verbatim.

“And they lived happily ever after!!!!” Papoose captioned the video via Instagram. “#blacklove Off papers ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ The #queen.”

His post was flooded with fans who sent the couple congratulatory messages.

The “All the Way Up” rap diva has been completely mute from social media and has yet to speak on the apparent end of her parole term, which was slated for August 1.

In 2014, the 38-year-old mother of two was released from prison after serving six years in prison in connection to a 2007 shooting. She was convicted of shooting a longtime friend in a squabble over money.

She was released in 2016 and ostensibly has kept her nose clean. She welcomed infant daughter Reminisce Mackenzie Mackie, aka “The Golden Child,” with Papoose last December.

Remy’s physical assault case filed by “Love and Hip Hop: New York” star Brittney Taylor is presumably ongoing. The rap veteran was accused of punching the 30-year-old reality star in the eye during the Pretty Lou Benefit Concert in April. If a court finds she did indeed assault Taylor and was in violation of her parole, she could be facing additional time behind bars. Remy maintains her innocence.
