Remy Ma is days away from complete freedom, and her supporters couldn’t be happier.
The “Terror Squad” rap diva announced on Sunday, July 28, she was three days away from getting off of parole after five years and took to Instagram with a series of photos to celebrate. One image showed Remy sitting on the front stoop of her home with her ankle bracelet on, and in another she was twirling her hair.
“3 Days and a Wake Up💅🏾 #RemyMa #OffParole,” she said in her caption.
The “Feels So Good” rapper received an endless amount of support from fans who also celebrated her upcoming release from parole.
“Rem about to be a free woman for good out here. Thank god. Farewell ankle bracelet 💯 .”
“It’s the last dayyyyy !!!!! Whoop Whoop! 👏🏽 you made it to the finish line queen!”
“I’m so glad she bout to be off parole @remyma you’ve been rocking the hell out of that ankle monitor tho with all the latest fashions I’m glad to see it go though 😂💯.”
“CONGRATS Rem💕 no more feds! Almost there! You’ve got this sis!!! 🙌🏿.”
The 38-year-old mother of two’s parole sentence is slated to end on August 1.
In 2014, Remy was released from prison after serving six years behind bars in connection to a 2007 shooting. She was convicted of shooting a longtime friend in a beef over money.
Since getting out from behind bars, the “Conceited” rapper has been making major moves in the music industry and scored a top-charting record with her song “All the Way Up” in 2016, just two years after her release. She also welcomed infant daughter Reminisce Mackenzie Mackie with her husband Papoose Mackie in December 2018.
As for her physical assault case filed by Taylor, Remy maintains her innocence. She was accused of sucker-punching the “LHHNY” co-star in the eye during the Pretty Lou Benefit Concert at Irving Plaza in April. If a court finds she did indeed assault Taylor and was in violation of her parole, she could be facing additional time behind bars.
