On July 7, Carter took to the popular social media platform to post a full body pic in which her followers complimented her fashion sense. Carter was dressed to impress for the Essence Festival in New Orleans. “To the Top , please 💋,” the 20-year old wrote for her caption.
She can be seen sporting a strapless lime green top, gray snakeskin pants, matching jacket that she swung over her shoulder, and a lime green closed-toe pair of heels.
Racking over 65,000 likes, fans were here for the young fashionista’s look.
“Yesssssssss Top 💯,” one fan wrote.
“Cute young flower looks like you’re almost ready to Bloom! Stay positive and strong-minded!” another fan wrote.
“Gorgeous Dawlin Absolutely Beautiful 🌟 🚀 😍🔥🔥🔥👏.”
“Always slaying 😍🙌🏾.”
“That outfit is 🔥🔥.”
“ Looking Good Ms. Nae @colormenae I love the green on u.”
Good taste in fashion wasn’t the only thing fans pointed out. Some users suggested that Carter might be pregnant.
“I guess I’m the only one who thought she was pregnant,” one user wrote.
The idea of pregnancy might not be so likely seeing that the “T.I. and Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle” reality star isn’t on such good terms with apparent ex-boyfriend YFN Lucci. Carter wasn’t here for the 28-year-old commenting underneath a video that rapper Lil Boosie posted of a woman suggestively gesturing with a cucumber in her mouth, which for some reason has become a new social media trend.
The Atlanta rapper posted upside down smiling emoji in which Carter responded with “You a clown.” His comment led to their apparent breakup, and Carter unfollowing him on Instagram.
He then took to Twitter to give his thoughts on the ordeal. “Which is worse me commenting or me getting in her dm tyrna get some of dat s–t huh?” he tweeted in a now-deleted message, referring to the unidentified girl in the video.
However, it didn’t stop there. After catching wind of the rapper’s Instagram stories that showed him at a party full women participating in the provocative challenge, Carter decided to share her thoughts on the trend via Instagram Live.
“The cucumber situation… I feel like to each his own, that’s what you do, but it’s very degrading, and it’s not cute,” she said. “Also, if you have a daughter…that s–t is not cool. Honestly, the folks that are posting it and stuff like that you gotta understand if you got kids your kids are going to school and trust me [people] addressing your kids about that, and it’s not cool.”
Many assumed that Carter was taking shots at the MC who has three daughters and one son.
“Anybody that’s promoting that and thinking that’s cool I don’t want to be nowhere near them. … They’re childish; they’re dirty and pathetic! That’s all I have to say,” she concluded.
Carter’s mother, Toya Wright, seconded her daughter’s thoughts, writing, “@colormenae period. Self-respect is at an all-time LOW! … This type of behavior is not tasteful at all.”
