“Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” twosome Karlie Redd and Maurice “Mo” Fayne sparked quite a debate after viewers witnessed a slew of their relationship woes during the latest episode.
The former couple have displayed a panoply of up and downs during this season of this series, everything from Redd’s distrust of her now-former fiancé to Fayne’s allegedly having a baby with another woman while they were together. The show’s latest episode, which aired last week, showed the pair at a couple’s therapy session with counselor Dr. Jeff.
During the session, Redd tearfully expressed that Fayne never took her feelings into consideration, noting that he’s told her “f–k what you think.” When Dr. Jeff asked the Fayne Trucking owner if what Redd said was true, he laughed and answered, “yes.”
A few moments later, apparently due to the heat of the conversation, Fayne walked out of their therapy session and removed his engagement ring, although Dr. Jeff begged him to stay. Redd was left on the couch sobbing as the counselor suggested she should call it quits due to Fayne’s inability to communicate his feelings in a respectful way.
“LHHATL” viewers agreed with the counselor, even calling the trucking owner “abusive.”
“I think he’s hitting her, Karlie is all types of crazy but notice this season how she’s been acting out more than usual. … Hell na f–k him she can do better 💯.”
“I think he beating her , That whole session was weird 😩 & the way she was crying nah. He’s abusive with his words and threw a whole temper tantrum she needs to leave.”
“Girl is best u forget that.. He verbally abuses her already and don’t care about it. He’ll be hitting her next if he not already 🤷🏽.”
Other fans seemed to think Redd was the problem, not Fayne.
“Karlie is so full of it. She is the crazy dumb-ss one. You can tell he loves her but can’t express it 💯.”
“I would’ve walked tf out on her too she’s clearly fake crying 💯☕.”
The former couple got engaged last July, but called it quits in May before they could head down the aisle. Fayne actually broke up with Redd after she was spotted seemingly flirting during an Instagram live session with rapper Money Bagg Yo.
“I’m officially SINGLE‼️. …” he wrote in a now deleted post in May. “Please don’t ask me about my ex, slander her name, or mention her to me…even though we are no longer together…I will always have love and respect for her….it’s very simple, we tried and we tried hard it didn’t work! Wish her the best!!! #single #nodisrespect #wishyouthebest.”
Redd never addressed their breakup, but she recently deleted all couple photos of him and her from her social media pages.
