Peter Thomas‘ lavish celebration of his girlfriend’s birthday has once again resulted in unsolicited comparisons between Toni Scott and Thomas’ famous ex-wife Cynthia Bailey. Now the birthday girl is stepping up to defend herself.
Thomas has been sharing footage from the days-long bash on his Instagram page throughout the week. On Tuesday, he posted a loving photo of him embracing Scott and going in for a smooch as the two cozied up inside a yacht along South Point, Miami Beach.
“Life is short, live your best everyday ❤️❤️ happy birthday @iloveyoutoni @sportsoneclt @cluboneclt @baronemiamibeach #yatchlife⚓️” Thomas captioned the image.
Initially, the comments were generally kind.
“Happy birthday to our natural beauty @toni 🔥🔥🔥🙌🙌🙌”
“She’s beautiful!! Natural beauty! May God continue to bless you and your lady!🔥 “
However, some commenters decided to bash Scott, which led her to clap back at some.
“How old is your daughter today?” one person wrote to which Scott replied, “older than you except I just look younger 😘.”
Another remarked that the single mom “Far from Cynthia Bailey but bro if she got that 🔥 and you happy I’m dam show which ya.”
In response Scott said, “…..another non masculine man comparing two women yet has a miss piggy on his arm 🤦🏽♀️.”
However, the biggest clapback came when one user decided to really diss Scott.
“Come on peter you can do better than that !! Especially after Cynthia such a true lady ! Settle down with a special lady not just eye candy ! Check out Sinbag the comedian getting old Video and you will understand!! Love you man ! Continue success!” the Instagram user said.
Then Scott said, “your focus should be your face matching your body before judging a woman you don’t know. that is not a masculine trait…I will keep you in my prayers though 🙏🏽😘”
It appears to be the first time that Scott has stepped up to defend herself against naysayers. Previously, her boyfriend stuck up for her.
When a commenter remarked on a bikini-clad pic of Scott that she’s “no Cynthia Bailey bro,” Thomas said, “that’s what beautiful about her.”
Thomas has firmly moved on from Bailey since their divorce was finalized in 2017. Not long afterward he got with Scott, and the two have been inseparable ever since. The happy couple frequently documents date nights and excursions on Instagram and even had fans shook when Thomas teased they had obtained a wedding license in April. Alas, the joke was on followers, as the two were simply witnesses to a pal’s courthouse nuptials.
