“T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle” viewers are advising Reginae Carter to call it quits with rapper and her off-and-on boyfriend YFN Lucci.
This week’s episode shed light on late rapper Nipsey Hussle‘s death and the heartbreaking toll it took on others around him, especially Carter herself. For those who don’t know, the 20-year-old reality actress and Lauren London‘s 9-year-old son, Cameron Carter both share the same father, rapper Lil Wayne, so Reginae’s relationship with London is extremely close. Therefore, when London’s partner Hussle died, it affected Reginae deeply.
The “Pride and Prejudice” actress, 20, spoke to her mother Toya Wright about how she’d been dealing with Hussle’s death and how it gave her an apparent epiphany about her relationship with Lucci, 28.
“Even with my relationship with Lucci, I need change,” Reginae told her mother during the episode. “The other day he tweeted something that really betrayed me. … With Lauren and how she talked about Nip and how she said she felt safe … I told my boyfriend that I don’t feel safe, I want you to make me feel protected but then he go tweet. … It’s humiliating.”
Reginae referred to a Twitter spat she had with the “Everyday We Lit” rapper in April when he randomly wrote on Twitter with four crying emojis, “The girl said I don’t make her feel safe. U should leave me then because your life is wayyyy more important than this relationship.”
The 20-year-old celeb clapped back at her boyfriend at the time, “Eliminate what doesn’t help you evolve.”
Wright, who’s made it clear that she wasn’t fond of her daughter’s boyfriend, said she was happy her eldest daughter was recognizing the “red flags” in her relationship.
“It makes me really proud that she’s actually putting her foot down and that she’s able to see the things I see,” said Wright. “That she clearly needs to fix.”
“Friends and Family Hustle” viewers agreed with Wright and urged Reginae to end her relationship with Lucci.
“She prolly want to break up but holding on. It’s ok nae this relationship is just a learning curve and let him go 💯.”
