Keyshia Ka’Oir’s ‘Water Proof Lace Front’ Takes the Forefront in Mushy Video With Gucci Mane: ‘Wig Details Please?’

Folks are clearly head over heels with Keyshia Ka’Oir and Gucci Mane‘s love life, but not as much as they are with the model’s hairstyles.

Ka’Oir is known for changing up her looks on a frequent basis, from blue wigs to blond pixie cuts. Her hair recently sparked up chatter in an Instagram video of her and Mane booed up in their Miami pool. They splashed around in the water, hugging and kissing each other as the model seemingly recorded the moment with her mobile phone, captioning the post with a red heart emoji.

Fans fawned over the couple’s affection for each other.

“Awwwwwl. I Love y’all❤️ y’alls marriage is a fairytale love story I love it!”

“Why are you two so cute. 😍💜 I just love these 2 together #blacklovewins.”

Others prodded the 34-year-old on her hair details after noticing her lace front didn’t budge one time while in the pool.

“@keyshiakaoir what kind of lace glue you use for the water sis? 👀.”

“Lace fronts can get wet 🤔I didn’t know that 🤦🏾‍♀️.”

“Fake hair everyday even in the damn pool??? Meeeeeeeen 😆 girl drop the details on the hair glue you use.”

“What water proof lace front wig is that because frontals down her be floating back when in the water 😫.”

In January 2018, Ka’Oir launched her own hair collection Ka’Oir Hair, which features several different wig styles. The majority of the products start at $475 and can be customized. Along with her hair line, she also owns Ka’Oir Fitness and Ka’Oir Cosmetics.

“Gucci always says, ‘It’s crazy how of a great businesswoman you are, and how successful you are. People don’t know this,'” Ka’Oir told the Cut during an interview last February. “They get a glimpse of it, but they don’t really know how I run my business.”

When the mother of three isn’t busy running her businesses, she’s clearly always glued to her husband’s side. The pair just celebrated their second wedding anniversary, which initially had been thought to be in October, not May.

She wrote in a sweet message to her husband, “Today, May 14th is our day for many beautiful reasons!! We met 5/14/10 Got married 5/14/17 #TheWopstersAnniversary ❤️💍.”

Still independent.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
