Viewers are just mere weeks away from the rumored premiere of “Basketball Wives” season 8, but there is drama brewing off-screen.
Evelyn Lozada and Tami Roman’s problems spilled out onto social media Monday after Lozada took issue with Roman commenting on her ex-fiancé’s Instagram post.
Carl Crawford posted a video of a Times Square promo for Megan Thee Stallion’s new album “Fever.”
“FEVER OUT NOW ‼️ on all the social media platforms #Htown🤘🏾 has invaded NYC #BillboadAction” Crawford captioned the post.
Lending her support for the effort, Roman commented “🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾”
However, the remark did not sit well with Lozada, who previously lashed out at Roman on “Basketball Wives” over her part in a rumor that Lozada slept with Shaunie O’Neal’s ex. After catching Roman’s new comment, she promptly unleashed a series of digs at her VH1 co-star on her Instagram Story May 20.
“You avoided me all season because you didn’t want me to EXPOSE all of your lies, but you have the nerve to be on my sons fathers page 🤔😵🤣💦” read her first message, which was accompanied by a graphic that said “THIRSTY.”
“FAMILY OVER EVERYTHING!!!!!!! You tried it chicken🐔” Lozada went on. She also said, “We’re laughing at you!!!😵🤣😆😭”
Catching wind of the post, Roman commented on The Shade Room and laughingly demanded Lozada “at me next time.”
She explained she avoided Lozada because she’s “toxic” and backed Meg because she’s a Houston native.
“Thirst is you lurking on your ex’s page reading comments,” Roman continued. “He’s definitely moved on so should you… Finally I will support whoever the hell I want Bird brain, it’s called Instagram people put s— up for others to engage.”
Later on, in an apparent response to Roman’s since-deleted comment, Lozada added a lengthy remark to her IG story.
“I’m ‘toxic’ but you got on national tv & fake cried to the world saying I told you I was the one that hit my ex husband to cover your domestic violence comments?! 🤔,” Lozada said, remarking on a dust-up that occurred between her and Roman on season 7 of “Basketball Wives.” The incident saw Roman accuse Lozada of admitting she instigated the head-butting incident against Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson that led to the demise of their marriage.
“You avoided me because you didn’t want me to expose all of the #FakeNews you put out into the universe for attention,” Lozada went on, preparing to unleash on Roman’s health woes, like her battle with diabetes that Lozada seemed to mock last season. “Fake heart attack, kidnapped by aliens, diabetes in your feet, fake pregnancies, etc! You are a fraud!!!!!!!!! Oh & for the record my ex sent me your comments 😵🤡 #ByeNewport.”
The online blowout, which so far sees Lozada have the last word, led fans to take sides and had them feeling more eager than ever for “Basketball Wives” to return.
