In one of the most controversial moments of “Basketball Wives” this season, Tami Roman accused Evelyn Lozada of lying on her ex-husband Chad Johnson regarding his domestic abuse.
“You lied on Chad,” Roman fires off at Lozada at the 1:46 mark after the two get into it over Roman and Jennifer Williams’ involvement in spreading a rumor that Lozada slept with Shaunie O’Neal’s ex.
“Because you a fake ass b—-,” she continues. “You know you was fighting that man. You were having all kinda issues all along. But because the neighbors saw … now you wanna be the domestic violence spokesperson.”
In 2012, Lozada filed to divorce her former Cincinnati Bengals husband following an incident where he allegedly headbutted her.
The accusation left the rest of the cast — and Lozada — stunned. Even after Lozada explained her ex — whom she’s now on good terms with — was sorry, Roman remained unconvinced.
“B—- that ain’t nothin’ new. They always say sorry,” she replies.
In a confessional, Roman accused her castmember of “playing a game” that “took man’s career down. And I don’t support that.”
Lozada hit back by telling Roman to “worry about your health” adding that she’s “lookin’ like a crackhead these days.”
“Tami bringing up my incident with Chad is the ultimate low blow,” Lozada says in a confessional scene. “And it’s dirty.”
It seems several viewers watching the show Monday and tweeting along agreed with Lozada, while others pointed out Roman wasn’t totally wrong.
“Tami bringing up Chad is disgusting. First of all, were you there? Second of all, why are you victim shaming? Third of all, if Evelyn was in the wrong, why did Chad’s own kids take Evelyn’s side? Tami ain’t had s— else to say & was losing, so let’s go low as f—. Pure trash.”
