‘You Look Different’: Fans Scold Masika Kalysha for Seemingly Bleaching Her Skin

Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta” actress Masika Kalysha is currently facing backlash.

Apparently, the star’s skin complexion looks lighter than usual, leading fans to accuse her of lightening her skin.

Kalysha uploaded several photos to Instagram last weekend of herself apparently chilling at courtside after a recent a Clippers game at Los Angeles’ Staples Center. She sported casual wear along with a super glam makeup look. She also jazzed her appearance up with a blond lace frontal.

The reality star wrote in her caption, “Court side wit a vibe wit her toes out… 👛.”

According to fans, Kalysha evidently appeared almost unrecognizable. She was accused of being a “white woman” wannabe who bleached her skin.

“She wanna a be a white woman so bad 🤷🏾‍♀️,” one fan wrote. “Girl stop bleaching your skin and take off that damn blonde wig!”

“Who is this? Masika you look completely different. Stop with all the skin bleaching you look stupid af!” another person exclaimed.

“OHHHHHHHH the reason the b–ch look light skin and not like herself cause she used one of them face editing apps😭😂 you can see it clear as day,” someone else wrote.

A fourth person commented, “U look light I hope it’s the makeup or the lighting in the camera, I HOPE UR NOT BLEACHING UR SKIN 🤷🏾‍♀️.”

Kalysha fired back at the critic, “I am a light skinned Black Woman wtf is wrong with ya’ll dumb a-s b–ches. Y’all want me to be dark skinned so bad. It’s f–king disturbing.”

Her comment received a wave of applause.

“👏🏾👏🏾 I have never seen any IG female get so much hate. I don’t get it! Masika you look great and your body is bomb!”

“Girl don’t respond back to these idiots. We know you didn’t bleach yo skin, you look gorg as always smh❤️❤️.”

R&B singer K. Michelle also showed Kalysha some love, writing, “You look so good!”

Like the “GUHHATL” star, K. Michelle also came under fire last year for allegedly bleaching her skin despite revealing in past interviews that she suffeed from a skin condition called rosacea, which can sometimes cause skin discoloration.

She however addressed the the accusations in an Instagram post and attributed her off appearance to health issues.

“I’ve been fighting for my life for six months. Umm, of course, I don’t look the same. Seriously,” she said in part. “Your own people will make fun of you when you really on some positive s–t. … So let’s clear it … Bleaching- Never done it and don’t even know how.”
