Remy Ma Spotted Wearing Ankle Bracelet Following Alleged Assault on Brittney Taylor

It seems authorities may be taking the recent criminal accusations against rapper Remy Ma pretty seriously.

Earlier this month, “Love and Hip Hop: New York” star Brittney Taylor claimed Ma punched her in the right eye due to a “misunderstanding” involving the rapper’s stepdaughter Dejanae.

The New York Police Department reportedly was investigating Taylor’s assault claims, and now it appears authorities have found some merit in the allegations.

On Sunday, the 38-year-old rapper took to Instagram with a photo of herself seemingly in downtown New York, proudly posing with an ankle monitor around her leg. She added in her caption, “Thought I was cute in my @Weekend__Rush jacket and a 🚕 dead came and splashed 💦me… 😎still cute though #RemyMa #RainyDayRem.”

Of course, fans pointed out her apparent ankle bracelet.

“Is that a house arrest Alarm on her foot anyway you bern lookn so good since you smack.that lil bih lol…Unbothered now😍.”

“I can see a trend the house arrest bracelet is gonna be part of a bad pair of her heels.”

“Gives the pic a more realistic look…hell your beautiful even if you were splashed with mud.. The ankle bracelet makes for a nice accessory ☺️.”

Neither the “Conceded” artist or her team has addressed the incident involving Taylor. She also hasn’t been charged with any crime as of this writing.

Taylor, on the other hand, claimed she and Ma got into a heated confrontation at Irving Plaza in the East Village on April 16 around 9:30 p.m., when the “Conceded” rapper was supposed to have socked the 29-year-old in her right eye.The alleged incident sent her to the hospital.

Taylor is currently proceeding with legal action with her attorney
Sanford Rubenstein, and they are calling for witnesses “who saw what happened or have video of what happened to come forward.”

Ma is reportedly still on parole after serving six years behind bars for shooting her friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph in the torso during 2007. If she’s found guilty of assaulting Taylor she could return to prison.
