‘LHHNY’ Friends-Turned-Foes Yandy Smith, Kimbella Vanderhee Dramatically End Feud With a Hug

Love and Hip Hop: New York” stars Yandy Smith and Kimbella Vanderhee have finally called a truce after feuding for the past few years.

Smith and Vanderhee were good friends since season 1 of “LHHNY,” but their friendship came crumbling down in October 2017 when the two got into a social media scuffle. Vanderhee called out her longtime friend for wishing her a happy birthday through Instagram instead of personally calling her. She also claimed her ex-bestie suddenly disappeared out of her life during her time of need.

Smith, on the other hand, explained that she cut ties with Vanderhee because she was tired of getting in the middle of Vanderhee’s relationship drama with Juelz Santana.

Following their public online quarrel, Vanderhee ended her friendship with Smith, calling her a “fake friend.” Throughout the season, she expressed that she had no interest in reconciling with Smith and completely washed her hands of their drama.

Smith tried making amends with Vanderhee several times but took a step back after the former urban model criticized her foster care efforts. During the cast’s trip to Costa Rica, the ladies almost came to blows over the matter until Smith decided to walk away. Although fans thought the TV personality was completely done with her and Vanderhee’s friendship, she decided to extend the olive branch one more time.

During a group exercise with the “LHHNY” cast, Smith got real with her ex-bestie about the breakdown of their friendship. She believed their friendship ended because of a “huge lack of communication.”

“Things have gotten too far,” Smith told Vanderhee. “I’m going to hold you down until the day I die, but I will take ownership in not being there for you when you and Juelz were broken up, and that was because I was always in the middle.”

Vanderhee accepted Smith’s apology and said it was finally time to “bury the hatchet.” She walked over to her longtime friend and the pair hugged out their differences.

“LHHNY” viewers elated that the two friends finally ended their beef.
