Wendy Watchers Issue Ultimatum to Wendy Williams as She Continues to Sit Out Talk Show

Wendy Williams continues to sit out on her daytime talk show as her space on TV remains filled by reruns and guest hosts. And after more than a month away from the small screen, Wendy Watchers have had enough.

The star was last seen on her show Dec. 20, and when season 10 resumed in January the host was nowhere to be found. As Williams continues to nurse her broken arm back to health, she’s been spending “significant time” in the hospital treating her Graves’ disease.

During her time away, in which her return has been pushed back three times now, a series of guest hosts and co-hosts have stepped in, including Nick CannonTami Roman, and Don Lemon.

The comments section of “The Wendy Williams Show” official Instagram page is filled with annoyed viewers wanting to do away with old episodes and see their favorite host return — or else, some say, the show ought to be canceled all together.

“Where is Wendy…Seen her judging on project runway. Don’t need to see any more reruns.”

“🙄🙄Reruns #WheresWendy”

“Are there new shows this week? I’m getting reruns. Nothing is recording…omg so frustrating!”

“At this point she needs to just cancel the show, we don’t wanna see these other bozos they can’t do it like Auntie @wendyshow.”

“SOOOOOOOO STILL NO WENDY? WHEN Y’ALL CANCELING THIS SHOW BC SHE DOING TOO MUCH EITHER COME BACK MAN THE FUK ABOUT UR LIFE OR CANCEL THE SHOW AN WATCH THE BABY!”

During the first episode of Cannon’s three-day hosting stint, he assured viewers that all was well with Williams and her husband Kevin Hunter, who is alleged to have been physically abusive with the star.

“I also had a conversation with her and her family,” Cannon explained, before updating fans on her life. “She said she wanted to speak as a family unit. Her, Kevin and Little Kevin they said they are all good. The love and the passion is still there, because that’s what you need in times like this is for your family to stick together with you.”

The comedian and “Wild ‘n’ Out” host also passed along Williams’ message assuring fans that she will return to her signature purple chair. And her show’s distributor, Debmar-Mercury, confirmed the news Thursday, Feb. 21, saying Williams will indeed be back next week.

“Wendy Williams is an incredible talent with the most unique voice in daytime. We can’t wait to welcome her back to her iconic purple chair on the set of her show on Monday, March 4th,” the statement read.
