Since announcing she’d be taking time away from her talk show last month, Wendy Williams has once again pushed back her return as she was recently spotted out for the first time in weeks in Florida.
The ailing talk show host was pictured with a pal at CVS on Jan. 29 keeping things casual in a yellow T-shirt and knee-length distressed jean shorts. She also sported a matching yellow handbag and her signature wig as she walked out of the store miles away from her home in New Jersey. It’s not clear why she is in the Sunshine State.

The day the famed daytime host was photographed was the same one her show announced she won’t be back on the air for at least another week. Instead Nick Cannon, a friend of “The Wendy Williams Show,” will step up for hosting duties next week.

Additionally, “Basketball Wives” star Tami Roman announced on her Instagram Story Wednesday that she’ll step in to co-host the show as well.
“I flew into New York today because I’m co-hosting Wendy,” she says before complaining about the unexpectedly frigid weather. “This is what’s going on in New York right now. It’s unacceptable. I don’t have the proper coat. I only brought my Fashion Nova jacket.”
The newest guest hosts have prompted a wave of questions from fans demanding answers as to why Williams continues to postpone her return to TV.

Among the reports swirling about Williams is a rumor that her husband of more than two decades Kevin Hunter has an ongoing affair with a mistress whom he recently got pregnant. Williams’ representatives demanded a retraction of that story. Plus, a National Enquirer report emerged this week where Williams’ mother-in-law claimed she witnessed her estranged son physically abuse the star.
But what remains is that the former radio personality must recuperate from her ongoing illnesses.
In addition to battling complications from Graves’ disease, which her family said in a statement will require “significant time” in the hospital, she’s also nursing a fractured arm back to health. That injury led the host, who is a former addict, to resort to taking pain medication in an effort to initially power through a set of December shows. But she ultimately took time off following concern from fans over her slurred speech.
Williams initially announced she’d be taking time off from the show on Jan. 7 and promised to return Monday, Jan. 14. However, the TV personality’s return was pushed back two more times since then, including this latest round of guest hosts set to fill in. Over the past month, Williams has had various guests host a panel where they discussed hot topics.
