Tami Roman’s style always garners a lot of love from fans, but her recent Instagram post has more of them gravitating toward the caption instead.
Roman, whose newest round of fame came courtesy of VH1’s “Basketball Wives,” uploaded a photo to her account Monday, Feb. 25, rocking a mix of high and low fashion brands.
The stylish star donned silver hoop earrings and long, straight black hair that cascaded down her baggy sweatshirt, which read “God, Goals and Glamour.” A leopard-print Fashion Nova skirt accompanied the top, and the outfit was set off by white pumps and a matching Balenciaga purse.
Typically, the reality star’s style had fans beaming, and this time there was almost no exception.
“Been slaying ever-ree thang….😍😍😍”
“..strut on Goddess✨”
“Tami!! You been werking these looks boo.🤭❤️”
However, many others clung to the words in her caption: “Everybody won’t rock with you and that’s ok 🤷🏽♀️.”
“You don’t need everybody anyway, too expensive 😀”
“I’m loving your whole life @tamiroman I’m 48 and reinventing myself and every fabulous post u share really encourages me. It’s never too late and I have learned from you that if they don’t open the door, CREATE YOUR OWN!!! 💜💜💜”
“Say it louder for the people in the back!!! 🎤”
“You shouldn’t try to rock with everybody anyway. Everybody not wishing you well. Some folks praying for you to fail.”
Roman is no stranger to cutting out folks who don’t want to follow her journey of positivity. Maybe that’s why she’s been so cautious about stepping back into her spot on “Basketball Wives.”
The star has made it very clear using her Instagram posts over the past few months that she has no interest in getting into drama. And that falls in line with her electing to skip out on a group trip to Amsterdam toward the end of season 7. After bouts of back-and-forth with fans about whether or not she’ll appear on season 8, Roman finally admitted in January that there would have to be significant changes made for her to feel comfortable joining the cast again.
“I’m just at a place right now where it’s about protecting my energy and my space and my zen. I have to protect it,” she explained to “Entertainment Tonight.” And so, even within the ‘Basketball Wives’ world, if I were to go back, certain changes would have to be made for me to be comfortable in that environment. But we’re still in talks. I don’t necessarily know if I’ll return, but we are talking about how everybody can be comfortable in that environment.”
Nonetheless, Roman recently was spotted in an L.A. gym working out with “BBW” cast member Ogom “OG” Chijindu with a VH1 camera crew possibly in tow, fueling speculation that Roman might be back with her fellow “Wives” after all.
