Shaunie O’Neal Silent About Casting of New Season of ‘Basketball Wives’ Amid Fan Questions

Shaunie O’Neal is wowing fans with a new photo she uploaded to Instagram, but she’s not saying a word as questions mount concerning the return of “Basketball Wives.”

The executive producer of the VH1 reality series shared a pic of her looking like she’s handling some business in a ruched off-the-shoulder red dress on Monday, Feb. 18.

And according to her caption, the star was doing just that.

“Business will ALWAYS get handled! Happy Monday #TunnelVision 📸: @balbui,” the star wrote.

Several fans took notice of how great the mother of five looked.

“why are you this beautiful??? 😍😍😍”

“You look so pretty ❤️”

“Damn Shaunie HOT.”

But as is typically the case between seasons, others wanted to know details about when they can expect season 8 of “Basketball Wives” to air.

“Is there’s going to be another season of basketball wives 🤔”

“Missing basketball wives will there be another season 👀👀👀👀 @shaunieoneal5.”

“When’s the next season of basketball wives.”

“What’s up with Basketball Wives?? When is the next season coming on? 😩 #Ineedmyfix @shaunieoneal5.”

O’Neal didn’t address those questions, and she certainly did not disclose who would be included on the reality show. However, co-star Evelyn Lozada has already confirmed a new season is on the way. She told a fan on Instagram in January that the show is definitely returning and she’ll be part of the cast. Since then, a “BBW” fan account recently shared photos of Lozada, Jackie Christie and Kristen Scott filming, too, after Lozada tweeted that shooting had commenced last month.

In addition to staples like Lozada and Christie remaining on board, season 7 newcomers Ogom “OG” Chijindu and CeCe Gutierrez are also back for another round on the series.

However, many fans still have questions about whether Tami Roman is going to be included. The star noticeably backed away from the cast toward the end of last season, even declining an invitation to Amsterdam, which despite Roman’s absence, was decidedly not drama-free.

Roman has gone back and forth about it, but recently she admitted to “Entertainment Tonight” that she is in talks to return to the show that made her a household name to a new generation.

“If I were to go back, certain changes would have to be made for me to be comfortable in that environment. But we’re still in talks,” she said last month. “I don’t necessarily know if I’ll return, but we are talking about how everybody can be comfortable in that environment.”
