‘What Happened?’ Fans Have Little Sympathy for Kimbella After Her Beef with Yandy

“Love and Hip Hop” frenemies Kimbella Vanderhee and Yandy Smith are back feuding again and fans have no clue why.

Vanderhee and Smith had been close friends since season 1 of “LHH”, but their friendship came crashing down in Oct. 2017 when Vanderhee called the mother of two out for wishing her a happy birthday through social media and as opposed to calling her.

“Yandy how long has it been since we’ve spoken?! You didn’t call or text me for my birthday, but put this post up because it makes you ‘look good’ that’s f**ked up know how loyal of a friend I was to you for years!”

Well it appears that Vanderhee’s anger towards Smith has carried into season 9 of “LHH.” In an upcoming episode, the mother of two sits down with a mutual friend and tells him that she has no interest in reconciling her friendship with the serial entrepreneur.

“This girl has been a ghost for months. … I have no friends right now,” said Vanderhee.

The newly engaged reality star also claimed that Smith threw her under the bus after their dispute with the mothers of Mendeecees’, (Smith’s husband) other children.

“When we both got caught up, she threw me and only me under the bus,” Vanderhee explained.

Fans, on the other hand, were confused as to why the two ladies were feuding and blasted Vanderhee for being in the wrong.

“Kimbella go leave boss Yandy alone 🙄.”

“Kimbella gets on my nerves … I don’t care for her whining this season leave Yandy be 🙄.”

“What happened I thought they were friends? What Kim do this time 🤔?”

“Kimbella is a pain in the butt has she been there for Yandy no. But once Juelz messes up she’s the victim #stineglasshouses.”

“Such a shame. They used to be best buds. What happened? And Yandy knows wtf she doing 🙄.”

Vanderhee isn’t too pressed on making up with Smith and recently got engaged to the love of her life Juelz Santana.

Democracy needs journalism it can trust.

This election season, the stakes are higher than usual — and so is the pressure on newsrooms to soften their coverage, stay quiet, or just disappear. Independent reporting, the kind that answers to readers instead of advertisers or political pressure, matters more in a moment like this, not less.

For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed independent and reader-funded. We have no corporate owner and no shareholders telling us what to cover or how to cover it. That independence is also our biggest vulnerability: nothing protects it except readers choosing to fund it directly.

Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under in a moment like this, it's rarely the independent, reader-funded ones that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
