‘LHHATL’ Tokyo Vanity’s Post Defending Tommie Lee’s ‘Abusive’ Actions Draws Mixed Reactions from Fans

Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Tokyo Vanity shared an Instagram post defending her co-star Tommie Lee and it’s definitely receiving a lot of mixed feelings from fans.

Vanity inserted herself into the conversation surrounding Lee’s child cruelty case and she appears to be on her co-star’s side. Lee was placed behind bars last week for reportedly shoving her daughter’s head into a locker at an Atlanta middle school and has been charged with felony aggravated assault, simple battery, first-degree child cruelty and disruption of public schools.

Lee’s “child cruelty” arrest created a huge debate on whether or not her behavior towards her daughter was considered abuse. Well, it seemed Vanity joined the discussion on Friday after she posted a tweet that read, “Tommiee got arrested for being a real f***in parent … if she ain’t discipline her kids then ya’ll would holler she unfit b**ch pick one.”

Vanity added in the caption, “B**ch I know y’all gonna let @tommiee_ be a momma and sdfu.”

However, the 23-year-old’s post drew mixed reactions from fans who said they “sorta” agreed with Vanity and others who deemed Lee an abuser.

“This is disgusting. Break the cycle and stop justifying abuse because it happened to you,” one fan wrote.

Another added, “We need to stop normalizing abuse and claiming it as discipline. It’s a difference between a damn whoopin and abuse!!!”

“My dad slap me wit a pistol onetime😂. I hated him then, but I love and miss him. Moral of the story everybody ain’t built the same 😮.”

“Her daughter probably was talking back by a locker and got hit in the mouth and her head hit the locker. Happens to the best lol.”

“Right my mama dragged me before… tough love.”

One fan commented, “How she gone discipline her kids when she in and out of jail?” Vanity shot back at the person, “Girl she be in there 1 day sdfu.”

Vanity appeared on sseason 7 of “LHHATL” and was one of fan favorites because of the inspiration she sent to other plus size women. She wrote, “I told ya’ll whenever I got on TV I was gonna inspire and set an example.”
