Actress Who Played a Naked Melania Trump In T.I. Video Receiving Death Threats: ‘Someone Was Going To Take A Bat to Me’

It’s been almost a week that T.I. posted a clip of a naked actress playing the role of Melania Trump and stripping in the Oval Office. And while Trump’s supporters called for a boycott of the rapper, the actress said she’s getting death threats.

Her name is Melanie Marden, and she detailed what she’s been going through since the release of the video.

“I don’t usually post about haters but I need to,” she began. “This weekend I experienced this with my latest post of T.I.’s new teaser of his music video, where I was hired as an actress, not a stripper, to portray Melania Trump. It was a creative choice for me and also an opportunity to empower women.”

“I send love to all the people who called me names and made accusations or delivered hurtful insults,” she continued. “These are clearly deep wounds inside of you that have nothing to do with me … To all the political people threatening me, I remind you this is a music video, relax. I am an actress who played the role of #nakedMelania just like when @alecbaldwininsta portrays Trump on ‘SNL.’”

Marden’s post didn’t seem to sit well with a lot of people and many questioned how playing the role of a naked First Lady is empowering. Others assumed the actress was a Democrat and blasted her for it.

Marden also addressed the controversy during an interview with “Inside Edition,” where she detailed some of the threats she’s been receiving.

“Someone was going to hit me with their car,” she revealed. “Someone was going to take a baseball bat to me, someone wished me to get raped and then killed.”

T.I. hasn’t addressed Marden’s comments. In fact, he’s been pretty quiet about the video since its release.  Whether the chatter surrounding Marden will also quickly die down remains to be seen but either way, she has no regrets.

“The First Lady’s husband does a lot of bullying himself, so they’ve got some thick skin,” said Marden. “If I was insulting her and degrading her, then it would be one thing but I don’t think I was.”
