Lil Rel and Katt Williams have continued to have beef in the months after Williams’ viral Atlanta radio interview.
The newest round of blows was exchanged Wednesday, Oct. 17, when Williams went live on his Instagram account where he sang along to Drake’s “Mob Ties.”
“We should do a movie together! We should do a tour together!” Williams exclaims as the song plays. “Sorry Rel, sorry Jerrod. What I’m saying is, why would you be a movie star if you can’t kiss the b—- that’s in your own movie?”
The remark references his dig at Jerrod Carmichael, Lil Rel and other contemporary comedians whom he dissed during a stop at V-103 in September.
“They gon’ let you be a star, Lil Rel, but you ugly,” Williams said during an impromptu interview with the station. “And white people don’t believe in ugly stars. They think you have to be somebody that women want to sleep with and men want to be. But because we Black, they say, ‘Oh you don’t even deserve that.’ So you get Kevin Hart, Lil Rel, Jerrod Carmichael all in a row. … Just dudes that no woman would talk to in Lenox Mall, let alone you making ’em movie stars. Why? Because you know ain’t nobody gon’ sleep with them.”
Rel had responded to the comments during a press event for his Fox show, “Rel,” saying he felt “bad for” Williams. But in his reply to Williams’ Instagram Live stream, he’s more fired up.
“First of all he’s saying things that’s not true and y’all keep listening to this stuff,” Rel said on his own IG stream. “You’re the n—- Trump! … My breakout role was in an Oscar-nominated film called ‘Get Out’ … The character I played, picked up my friend from a crazy situation. That was my breakout character. Your breakout character was a pimp … tryna get f—ed by n—as that got out of jail. That’s your claim to f–king fame!”
Fans began weighing in on the drama and took sides.
“Lil Rel is right. Katt needs serious mental help but we as Black people just think he’s being real. He’s actually crying for help.”
“Lol Rel knows he cant compare to the guy.”
“I’m so sick of Katt. He’s not woke. Just a negative dude with negative energy. That’s why negative things keep happening to him.”
