Phaedra Parks is aware of the negativity surrounding her inclusion on “Braxton Family Values” and she’s got some shade to throw at her critics.
The former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star posted on Instagram Thursday, Sept. 6 a series of photos with her new castmates including Traci Braxton and her friend Niki, comedian Luenell and “Bad Girls Club” alum Natalie Nunn.
“I’m not a sister. I’m just your favorite play play cousin. Tune in now to #BraxtonFamilyValues and join in on the fun MUA: @deedee_kelly Hair: @mkeb2,” Parks said in the post promoting her first episode on BFV.
The shade was undoubtedly geared toward viewers of the show who took issue with her joining the cast, which was first announced in August during an appearance on “Good Day New York” with Braxton.
Members of Braxton’s family, specifically Towanda Braxton and Tamar Braxton, have called out Traci for continuing to film with new people. Tamar even referred to Parks as “Phaedra Braxton” in a clip.
“Who’s not a Braxton, Towanda? Who? Phaedra Braxton not a Braxton?” Tamar said in the Instagram video. “C’mon, let’s do a toast. Let’s do a toast to the Braxton wannabes. To Phaedra Braxton … Maybe she’ll be funny and great.”
She later removed the post and brushed it off as a joke.
Some fans applauded Parks’ turn on the show.

But others continued to drag her inclusion.
