The “Steve Harvey Morning Show” radio broadcast is off the air in Dallas-Fort Worth after broadcasting for 15 years.
Dallas radio station KRNB/107.5 confirmed to All Access it has dropped Premier Networks’ syndicated “Steve Harvey Morning Show.” In 2003 the show was first picked up by DFW radio and began airing on KRNB/107.5 FM “Smooth R&B” in 2006.
The show’s last broadcast was reportedly on Friday, August 31, All Access reported. KRNB announced that they parted ways with Steve Harvey‘s show and plan on replacing it. The station’s operations manager and director George “Geo” Cook told the news source, “We will be announcing our upcoming plans for AM drive soon.”
Harvey’s radio show first aired on KBFB 97.9 FM “The Beat” then transitioned to KRNB/107.5 FM three years later. The morning show is the second major syndicated show to be released by a Dallas-Fort Worth station in the past year.
This news comes on the heels of two lawsuits levied against him in as many months.
The widow of “What’s Happening” star Fred “Rerun” Berry filed a $5 million suit in March claiming emotional distress, infliction of mental anguish, harm caused to her reputation, harassment and witness intimidation. In August she filed an affidavit, which was obtained by Radar Online, that accuses Harvey of blackballing her from the industry and having his associates bully her online.
In April, a former guest filed suit against the host suing him for$2 million after she claims she was sexually harassed on the show.
Dominique Collier, a fitness model, alleges the show personnel had her change out of her relatively conservative clothing into an outfit that was more revealing. Rather than Collier being presented as a “single professional [woman]” who enjoys showing off her looks, her feature was about family members concerned about her “too sexy” style and getting a makeover to land a date.
