The Braxton family drama continues as sisters Tamar and Toni Braxton don’t seem to be in full support of fellow sibling Traci Braxton‘s new album.
The singing sisters, who star in their own reality show “Braxton Family Values,” are in the midst of a public feud over issues with filming the sixth season of the popular show, which airs on WeTV. Earlier this year, the family halted production amid contractual disputes as cast members demanded higher pay.
That drama has seemingly spilled over into the sister’s personal lives. Traci Braxton recently released her new album “On Earth” with little fanfare or support from sisters Toni and Tamar. Fellow siblings Trina and Towanda were sure to promote their sister’s new music on their Instagram pages, but it was nothing but crickets on Tamar and Toni’s pages.
It was reported earlier this week that a rift had formed between the siblings after Traci chose to move forward with filming the second half of the show’s sixth season, despite resistance from her sisters. She even brought on former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks to film a few of the episodes with her after her sisters and their mother, Evelyn, reportedly failed to show up to shoot earlier this summer.
Traci was accused of “blindsiding” the family, with Tamar saying Traci initially agreed not to show up on set but then went “against everyone behind their backs.”
Despite the backlash from her sisters, Traci has received overwhelming support from fans who applauded her new music.
“Congrats Traci on ur success,” one person wrote. “I am so happy for u 🍾🍾🍾u deserve every single bit of it❤️❤️❤️”
“Yesss Congratulations @therealtracibraxton!” another fan chimed in. “U go girl it’s yo time to shine bby, I love it, had it on repeat since I got it. This is my energy my motivation. Thank um I really love this album #Grammytime# finally some real music 🎶”
