Tameka “Tiny” Harris is continuing to weigh her options when it comes to handling husband T.I.‘s cheating scandal and one way she’s coping with the drama is reportedly by leaning on pal Tamar Braxton.
After T.I. was videoed tapping the rear end of a woman reported to be “Greenleaf” actress Asia’h Epperson earlier this month, the Xscape singer has been dropping hints about her displeasure with him and their marriage online.
A report this week said Tiny was looking to throw in the towel on their relationship after having once allegedly reconciled their differences. And now Tamar is offering her pal some surprising advice about how to move forward.
“Tamar has been through so many ups and downs with Vince, she gets it. She’s in the process of divorcing Vince, so you’d think she’d be telling Tiny to do the same with Tip, but that is not the case,” a source close to Tamar told HollywoodLife.com Tuesday, June 26. “Tamar has made it very clear to Tiny that she has to make up her mind about T.I. without anyone’s opinion interfering; only she can know what is right for her.”
That means that T.I.’s mother’s hopes of a reconciliation between the husband and wife of nearly five years cannot come into play in Tiny’s decision.
“Tamar hated having people constantly pushing her to divorce Vince, so she’s making a huge point not to do that to Tiny,” the insider added, noting Tamar is a “big believer” in working things out if at all possible. “She’s just trying to be there for her and lift her up.”
A source previously told the millennial women’s website that Tiny was considering refiling for divorce, saying the singer is “hurt and humiliated and embarrassed” and feels T.I. “is setting a bad example for his kids.”
While Tiny considers her options, however, she has Braxton to help her through. After all, the “Braxton Family Values” star is no stranger to strained — or failed — marriages. She filed to divorce her music executive husband Vincent Herbert in 2017. And although the pair has been seen together since then, it doesn’t seem like they’re doing much more than co-parenting.
“Tiny has been getting tons of love and support from Tamar,” the insider said, adding that Tiny is really leaning on her right now.
