Days after a backlash erupted over Peter Thomas’ ex saying their son is brown and not Black, the restauranteur has issued a response. And he’s not happy about claims Nancy Hernandez is racist.

“Y’all gotta be f—ing kidding me,” he says in the Thursday, April 26 Instagram video. “We made that beautiful boy together. You hear my son clearly say that his dad is Black like a freshly paved street and his mom is just having fun with him. OK? So ain’t no racist s— here. If she called him brown that’s her f—ing prerogative.”

The video, which Thomas shared on his IG on April 24, showed Hernandez laying down with their teenage son, Bryce. He told his mom she has a “white daughter and Black son,” to which she replied,  “You’re not Black, you’re brown.”

“My dad is the color of a newly paved street,” Bryce said before adding, “I’m Black.”

The reaction from fans was swift, with many blasting Hernandez for erasing Bryce’s blackness.

However, Thomas made it clear in his video that his ex is well aware of their son’s race.

“She knows he’s Black and he’s Dominican and 90 percent of the Dominican Republic is Black, by the way,” Thomas says. “So please don’t run with the bulls—. Please stop the hate. Please get a f—ing life and move on with y’all’s s—. Clearly, we made him together. So ain’t no racism s— goin’ on here.”

In response, many fans applauded Thomas for clearing the air.

“😂😂😂 tell ’em Peter!!!” someone commented.

Another wrote, “Haters can always come up with something negative… Racist thoughts never crossed my mind….. You’re doing great! Keep-on pushing.”

“Well said Peter,” another posted.

However, there were still some who took issue with Hernandez’s statement.

“It’s called colorism and she is perpetuating it in the video!” someone said.

“Bulls— she was wrong telling him he’s brown. He’s Black!!” another wrote. “Never heard if a race called brown🙄.”
