Peter Thomas is putting his ex-wife Cynthia Bailey on blast just six months after returning home.
The former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star received an 18-month sentence for failing to pay trust fund taxes.
Thomas spent a little more than six months behind bars before authorities released him to house arrest at the Miami Residential Reentry Management Office.

He pleaded guilty in 2024 after his Charlotte businesses failed to pay $640,000 in trust fund taxes from employee wages to the IRS.
However, he still has a gripe with his ex-wife Bailey, whom he was married to for eight years.
During his Aug. 11 sit-down on Carlos King’s “Reality with the King,” he accused Bailey of not holding up her end of their agreement when it came to his property.
Thomas said Bailey’s 2024 appearance on his podcast, “How Can I Be Down,” marked their first sit-down since their 2017 divorce. He recalled feeling especially proud welcoming her into his Buckhead townhouse.
He knew that even if he went away for a little over a year, he still wanted to keep the townhouse.
“Because I’m going away and the IRS is still on me and the company that it was under, you know I wanted to secure it,” he explained.

Thomas wanted to pay off the home completely and turned to his ex-wife for help.
He told her, “‘Cynthia, I need you to buy this townhouse from me…Under your company name.’”
The 65-year-old said he didn’t mind if someone used it as an Airbnb while he was away. However, if that did not work, she could have sold it under her company name.
His main concern was that he didn’t want to lose $350,000 worth of equity in the property.
Thomas recalled meeting at a restaurant, where he introduced Bailey to his banker and his friend, Sunita Brooks, who would communicate with Bailey to make sure the process went smoothly.
But, things took a turn just days before Thomas had to face his legal woes.
“I called her on the ninth day and said, ‘Hey, look, um, I’ve been texting you and, you know, for you to engage with people that we could do the purchase,'” he stressed.
Bailey, who initially agreed to the arrangement, was apparently getting cold feet.
“I don’t know what happened [between] her saying yes and that 10 days,” Thomas said. “But I sent her a text, and her reply was, ‘I feel like I’m being pressured. I feel like I’m being bullied.'”
The former reality star said he felt confused because their lunch meeting seemed to go well. He also claimed he took none of their money in the divorce and simply walked away.
“I thought we were good. I thought I didn’t take nothing from the divorce. I thought we were friends,” he said.
Further explaining his issues with Bailey, Thomas added, “She didn’t stand up for me like I stood up for her.”
Thomas then tried to take credit for Bailey’s introduction into the world of unscripted reality television, claiming he made her more memorable.
King, an executive producer on “RHOA” for multiple seasons, of course pushed back with the truth reminder.
“You know, me and you are honest with each other. I do think though in Cynthia’s defense, right, she doesn’t owe you anything anymore,” expressed King.
He challenged Thomas by saying, “I do feel like you harbored a lot of resentment.”
Thomas agreed in the past tense that he “did,” but swears the past is in the past.
Bailey has yet to respond to Thomas. Fans shared their take on Thomas’ perspective on Facebook.
One social media user said, “Why would Cynthia put her reputation under his umbrella? Make it make sense.”
Another person suspected that someone else was in Cynthia’s ear and made her change her mind. “She must’ve got advice from her lawyers,” they wrote.
Bailey clearly had her reservations after previously loaning Thomas money for his North Carolina and then having to sue him to get her money back.
A third person said Thomas could’ve asked other friends and loved ones other than his ex.
“I am confused. He could’ve just asked his FRIENDS, Todd or Apollo,” they said.
Todd Tucker was married to Xscape singer Kandi Burruss until the two divorced in 2026.
Thomas still maintains a good relationship with Tucker. He recently confirmed that he signed on to star in Tucker’s new show, reportedly about former “RHOA” husbands.
Cynthia’s ex-husband was also close to another husband on “RHOA,” Apollo Nida. He previously married attorney Phaedra Parks before they split in 2017.
It is unclear if Apollo will be joining, and Thomas said he doesn’t know who else is signing on.
