K. Michelle Reveals Why She’s Going Under the Knife Again

K. Michelle is sporting a much more natural derrière nowadays thanks to the removal of her illegal butt injections. And while the singer is feeling more like her old self, she said the road to get there wasn’t easy.

Michelle explained on Steve Harvey’s daytime talk show “Steve” Wednesday, April 4 that during the last year and a half, she became sick and unable to walk after doctors initially misdiagnosed her with lupus.

“I’ve been on bed rest, everything. So for me, it was vanity,” she explained. “I went and did the butt shots like everybody was doing, a lot of your favorite artists. We went to the same person. And they sick too! But I just talk about mine, I don’t lie to y’all.”

The “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” star has been so candid about her journey that she documented her first procedure on “The Dr. Oz Show.” Viewers learned with Michelle that the silicone injected into her rear end formed pellets that had eventually expanded and caused the singer pain.

“It’ll catch up, it’ll catch up,” she tells Harvey of the health issues. “So I said, ‘You know what, if I can show them my body and what I did I can also show them the outcome and the consequences of it.'”

The star added that she’s due for another surgery to remove tissue to stop her body from reacting to the foreign material that was unable to be removed from her last procedure.

“I’ve learned my lesson,” she says. “I’ve learned it. … Trends come and go and you don’t do the trends on your body.”
