Eddie Murphy’s ‘Hollywood Ex’ Claims Producers Stole Reality Show Idea

Tamara Hood sues Hollywood exesOne of Eddie Murphy’s ex-girlfriends is suing the producers of “Hollywood Exes” because she claims that they stole the concept for the show from her.

Eddie’s ex, Tamara Hood, has filed a lawsuit against Lynch-Dyson Entertainment after she allegedly pitched a similar show concept to the producers in 2008 only to see her idea recreated years later.

The mother of Eddie’s 23-year-old son, Christian, is now asking producers to hand over $1 million after she claims she tried to make many phone calls to the producers to settle the matter out of court.

Hood’s vision for the show was the same as Lynch-Dyson Entertainment’s, except for the title of the show and the issue of whether Hood would star in it.

Needless to say, Hood wanted to be featured as one of the “Hollywood Exes” on the show and she wanted the title to be “The Hollywood ExClub.”

For whatever reason, talks between Hood and the producers fell flat over time and the show was never made. When she heard that VH1 decided to make their own show about Hollywood ex-wives and ex-girlfriends without her assistance, she became furious.

Hood said the show was inspired by her own personal experiences as Murphy’s ex-girlfriend in fame-loving Hollywood, and it’s only right that she at least gets paid for using her past to pitch the successful idea to VH1.

To add insult to injury, the cast featured girls that Hood wanted to have on her show, including Andrea Kelly.

Eventually, producers did make the decision to cast Eddie Murphy’s ex – just not Hood.

Instead of reaching out to Hood, producers called on the help of Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife Nicole Murphy, who is currently engaged to former NFL star and day time talk show host Michael Strahan.

It’s likely that the decision was made purely for the sake of ratings due to Nicole’s popularity in the media recently compared to Hood.

Hood is apparently  so unknown by the media that many gossip sites, including TMZ, haven’t even realized that they are posting pictures of the wrong woman.

Tamara Hood is not to be confused with with Tamara Johnson-George who makes up one-third of the female singing group SWV. Tamara Johnson-George is actually married to her own Eddie, but it’s not the famous comedian.

Eddie George, Tamara Johnson-George’s husband, is a former NFL football player and Heisman Trophy winner. Eddie George and Tamara Johnson-George are still happily married.
