Vivica A. Fox revealed during a recent episode of “The Real” the public shade an ex threw at her intentionally following their breakup.
The actress’ admission occurred while she was guest hosting the show alongside Adrienne Bailon and Loni Love on March 17. The trio discussed the denigration of an unidentified man’s Instagram post with his girlfriend, which included the caption “She’s not the prettiest, but she’s loyal.”
When asked by Bailon if Fox had personally experienced a disparaging moment with an ex before, she responded without disclosing the ex’s name, “Of course. Come on, of course.” As Bailon questioned Fox on what the particular individual did, the 57-year-old replied that she had albums written about her.
She said, “Oh, my God, I had whole albums written about me, are you kidding me? Literally albums. Artist made shady comments about me.”
When Love stated that Fox handled the shade really well, the “Two Can Play That Game” star replied, “Of course I did. I got thick skin until I couldn’t take no more and then I was like, OK, here comes this whole tree coming at you.”
She added, “Forget the shade. The whole tree.” Fox wrapped up the conversation by claiming despite previously firing back at her undisclosed ex in the past. She has since matured. “Let me tell you something, with maturity, one tried to put that chapter behind me. But yes, I had intentional shade come my way.”
Although Fox didn’t mention the ex by name during “The Real” segment, one individual she has had an ongoing public feud with was 50 Cent. The former couple dated back in 2003 and broke up the following year. During a VladTV interview in 2021, Fox disclosed that the pair’s split was because their relationship became public too quickly.
She said, “The main thing that killed the relationship was we just went way too public, way too fast. The love that I had for him and still to this day will always like; he was the love of my life. I will admit that without any reservations.”
Since their breakup, 50 Cent went on to date model and aspiring lawyer Jamira “Cuban Link” Haines, while details surrounding Fox’s romantic life remain private.
