‘Come Back’: Tamar Braxton Shares Message About Traci Braxton’s Death  

Tamar Braxton took to Instagram on March 13, to mourn the loss of her older sister Traci Braxton, a day after the 50-year-old succumbed to her battle with cancer. 

Traci, who was featured on the family’s hit reality show “Braxton Family Values,” reportedly was diagnosed and received treatment for esophageal cancer for about a year before her March 12 death.

In the post, Tamar uploaded a video that included a black screen and a verse from Muni Long’s “Time Machine.” The lyrics said, “I wish I had a time machine.” In addition to the clip, the singer, who appeared to be at a loss for words, simply wrote alongside a heartbroken emoji, “My Dear Traci, come back.”

As Tamar’s upload made its rounds on social media, fans mentioned how hard Traci’s death must be on the star. One individual even pointed out the public struggles Tamar has gone through within the past couple of years. 

“She can’t say much. That’s too painful.”

“I knew Tamar was gone take it hard.”

“Praying for Tamar and the whole family man! She’s been through so much and for her sister to pass right before her birthday. Sheesh.”

“This is gonna be the hardest for her.”

Among the previous remarks, others expressed how much the Braxton sisters loved one another despite the turmoil that may have played out on television. One wrote, “Sisters fight, but they still love each other. Stop bringing up old BFV drama. This is real. Have some compassion.” Another said, “One thing about them Braxtons they love each other with everything in them. I know they are hurting. I pray they find peace and comfort.”

The “Love and War” vocalist’s post comes a day after the Braxton family, excluding Tamar, released a joint statement confirming Traci’s passing on their social media accounts.

The statement read, It is with the utmost regret that we inform you of the passing of our sister, Traci. Needless to say, she was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a respected performer. We will miss her dearly.”

It continued, “Traci passed this morning as the snow was falling, our angel is now a snowflake.We ask that you respect our privacy as we plan to send her home with love, celebrating her life. We are family forever. Love,The Braxton Family.”
