Singer LeToya Luckett is officially a single woman now that her divorce from ex-husband Tommicus Walker is finalized.
The “Torn” songstress confirmed her new status while chatting with fans during a July 18 IG live. Luckett — who was accompanied by friends Toya Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Monyetta Shaw and Pretty Vee for a ‘mommy vacation’ in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico — touched on what it has been like to co-parent with Walker.
“I think as long as people keep the kids first and what’s in the best interest of the children, that ‘s what’s most important, when you consider them first. Sometimes — most of the time, it’s not about us. It’s not about the parents, the things that went wrong.”
Luckett and Walker announced their plans to separate at the top of the year, but never publicly addressed what led to the demise of their marriage. Fans, however, speculated that rumors of Walker’s infidelity played a role. They share two children together, daughter Giana, and son Tyson.
While the couple’s fans hoped a reconciliation would be possible, learning that the relationship had run its course was met with understanding.

Luckett did not share when the divorce became finalized, but did openly share that all parties were doing “okay.” The former Destiny’s Child member also shared a few gems on how she’s managing to keep her and Walker’s marital issues separate from their interactions pertaining to their children.
“Try not to fix what went wrong in the marriage in the co-parenting space. Don’t try to fix your problems from the past in your new chapter,” Luckett shared. “You are in a new relationship, if you will. And being clear, setting clear boundaries is very important.”
Luckett has seemingly not skipped a beat since embarking on her new journey. Rocking blond hair and a tan — and on a high from the recent launch of her joint clothing line with stylist J. Bolin — fans couldn’t help but to swoon over her beauty.
