Lamar Odom’s Ex-Girlfriend Liza Morales Joins the Cast of ‘Basketball Wives’

The newest season of “Basketball Wives” is in production after a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Lamar Odom‘s once longtime girlfriend Liza Morales has just been added to the roster, according to The Blast.

Liza and Lamar, who played for the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers, dated for 10 years after meeting in the 11th grade. She is also the mother of Lamar’s three children, daughter Destiny, 22, his son, Lamar Odom Jr., 18, and Jayden, who died tragically at six months old in 2006 from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. The pair split following their last child’s death, but Liza has remained supportive of Lamar throughout his years of multiple scandals and battles with drug addiction.

Liza is reportedly one of three new faces that will be featured on the ninth season of the show. The fashion stylist is set to star alongside Shaunie O’Neal, Evelyn Lozada, Jackie Christie, Malaysia Pargo, Kristen Scott and Jennifer Williams. Ogom “OG” Chijindu also reportedly will be returning, despite having a pending lawsuit from fellow castmate Evelyn.

To keep cast and crew safe, the ladies will be filming in their own NBA-esque “bubble.” The cast will be split between two separate houses during production and won’t be allowed to leave the premises while filming takes place. There won’t be a cast trip either, leaving plenty of room for restlessness and drama.

The “BBW” announcement marks Liza’s return to reality television following her short stint on TLC’s reality show “Starter Wives Confidential” in 2013. It also comes on the heels of Liza seemingly throwing shade toward Lamar and his fiancé and fitness enthusiast Sabrina Parr.

On her Instagram Stories, Liza accused Sabrina of writing Lamar’s Instagram captions. The mother of three also questioned why the former professional ballplayer hadn’t provided any financial support for their son’s college tuition. In the post, Liza referenced “baby doll,” a pet name Lamar uses in his captions about Sabrina.

“Ahhh babydoll I am willing to be best possible man for our family. Hmmmm… Should I say it….,” Liza wrote in one post. She shared another post writing, “Having Convos on the Gram with yourself? People that know him, know he doesn’t talk like that. Let’s Get to the Real … Where is LJ’s College Money ??!”
