Apryl Jones continues to rock shoulder pads both on and off the red carpet, but her fans aren’t here for the ’80s fashion trend.
The “Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood” star gave her vintage look a shot this week after uploading a series of beauty pics to Instagram from a recent photo shoot. In the images she sported a cropped denim jacket seemingly laced with shoulder pads, high-waist jeans, and a pair of stiletto heels.
“Because life is too short to spend it at war with yourself. Choosing peace,” Jones added in the caption.
She looked stunning in the photos, wearing her hair in a sleek ponytail and opting for a soft makeup look. One fan even commented, “Your beautiful I always admired your beauty and strength 💞.”
Others were still stuck on Jones’ 1980s fashion look.
“It’s the shoulders for me 🙂,” one of her IG followers said.
“ulu left the hanger in your shirt ?? 😭,” another quipped.
One person wrote, “Here come shoulder pads again. Lordt.”
“Shoulder pads?” someone else asked.
Although Jones has yet to respond to online trolls, she’s no stranger to criticism.
The reality star received massive backlash last year for dating B2K rapper Lil Fizz, who’s her ex-boyfriend Omarion Grandberry‘s childhood friend and band mate. People expressed disgust at Fizz and Jones’ romance and accused them of betraying Grandberry.
However, the “Touch” singer didn’t have an issue with the couple’s relationship. When asked about it, he told Vlad TV in November 2019, “I don’t feel no ways. I don’t feel any way about it. I think that if they’re happy, then they should be happy. I think they should change the narrative though.”
Grandberry called it quits with Jones in 2016. They share kids — son Megaa Omari Grandberry, 6, and daughter A’mei Kazuko Granberry, 4.
Jones and Fizz reportedly split earlier this year, but the reason why is still unknown.
