People already knew Yandy Smith-Harris and her son Omere Harris had a striking resemblance, but the latest photo she shared takes the cake!
The “Love and Hip Hop: New York” star, 38, uploaded an adorable selfie to Instagram on Thursday, Aug. 20, of herself and her 8-year-old son sharing a hug at a recent protest in New Jersey. The event was held for Black victims who’ve suffered from police brutality and injustice.
“So proud of the baby I birthed @omereandskylar and the hundreds I worked with over the summer,” Smith-Harris wrote in her photo caption. “They organized, galvanized, and then mobilized under the tutelage of our @swepeastorange program to Demand Justice for Maurice Gordon, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd and so many more that have been murdered unjustly.”
While the mother of two’s political message was received, fans couldn’t help but to point out the mother-and-son duo’s strong resemblance and piercing eyes.
“He is definitely your twin❤️,” an IG user wrote.
“Twinz,” another added.
“Wow the beautiful eyes , just stunning mother and son💕 #twinning,” someone else commented.
One fan claimed Omere resembled actor C.J. Sanders, who played a young version of rhythm and blues musician Ray Charles in the 2004 film “Ray.”
“He reminds me of the little boy that played young Ray Charles in the movie. So handsome,” the person wrote. Smith-Harris responded, “People say that all the time.”
Smith-Harris’ twinning pic with her son comes a month after she and husband Mendeecees Harris celebrated his eighth birthday.
In a heartwarming post she shared to Instagram on July 16, Smith-Harris penned a sweet message to Omere that read, “Everything perfect about me came out in you. My flaws missed you by far. You’re kinder than most, compassionate, you live and walk in truth, you’re funny, really funny.”
She continued, “You hurt when people hurt, you love hard. You were the man of the house for so long and you did it well. You had to grow up fast and look at you big boy…YOU’RE 8 now!!! We love you so much!!!”
Smith-Harris and her husband share Omere, 8, and 5-year-old daughter Skylar Harris. Mendeecees also has two sons from prior relationships.
The two exchanged vows nearly three years later after welcoming Omere in 2012.
