Celebrity couples may look like they have it all together, but the truth is it’s not always sunshine and roses. Just ask Stevie J. and his wife Faith Evans.
The couple reportedly got into an explosive altercation in late May, and now Stevie J. is back to sending his wife loving Instagram posts. On Wednesday, June 10, the self-proclaimed “good guy” celebrated Evans’ 47th birthday with a sweet video of himself and his better half enjoying themselves on a yacht.
Evans waved to the camera after Stevie J. said, “Hi, honey.” Moments later, they shared a passionate kiss before the father of six exclaimed, “All mine!”
Stevie expressed how much the “Soon As I Get Home” singer meant to him in his birthday post as he wrote, “Today a true Queen was born and I’m grateful to be your friend & your husband. You are a gem & I appreciate you & love you for allowing me to see what love truly is ❤️🖤 #DaJordans”
This gesture of matrimonial harmony comes on the heels of a May 31 report that Evans was arrested for attacking the music producer.
A verbal confrontation allegedly turned physical and police were called to the couple’s Los Angeles home, TMZ reported, citing unidentified law enforcement sources. After noticing visible “marks and scratches” on Stevie J., officers arrested Evans. She reportedly was released on bond that same day, the date of which TMZ never specified.
Neither Stevie J. nor the R&B songstress has addressed the TMZ report, but that did not stop the 48-year-old star’s ex-girlfriend Joseline Hernandez from mockingly claiming Evans gave the “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” star two “black eyes.”
The twosome’s reported recent drama led to Instagram users questioning Stevie J.’s birthday shoutout to his wife.
“Toxic Love at its finest!!!🤦🏽♀️🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️ but hey we will never understand,” one fan commented. “Wait but didn’t she just… you know what Happy b day @therealfaithevans Everybody Go Thru Shhh.,” another added.
Evans also commented two heart emojis on her husband’s post, letting the public know they were still on good terms.
Stevie J. and Evans secretly wed in July 2018. Stevie was the first to announce the news via Twitter and wrote at the time, “I love you Faith Renee Jordan.” Evans responded, “I love you back Steven Aaron Jordan.”
