Ice Cube was a guest on “The Breakfast Club” on Monday and said he was eager for President Donald Trump to be arrested.
Cube was asked about Trump because he made the song “Arrest the President” in 2018, which touched on the accusation that Trump colluded with Russia to win the presidency.
“I mean you did ‘Impeach the President,’ and they did impeach the President,” said “The Breakfast Club” co-host Charlamagne Tha God.
“Yeah, I mean, I said, ‘Arrest him.’ They still haven’t gotten to arrest the president. That’s what I want to do,” Cube replied.
Charlamagne then said that when Trump leaves the White House, he’ll “definitely be in handcuffs.”
“I can’t wait to see that, man,” said Cube. “Like Weinstein in them handcuffs, man. That’s a beautiful day.”
Former film producer Harvey Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in prison earlier this month after being found guilty of criminal sexual act in the first degree and rape in the third degree.
A little earlier in the interview, co-host DJ Envy asked Cube if he was getting back into music, and Cube said he never left.
He said the only thing different with him these days, as far as music goes, is that he doesn’t care about the industry that much but still loves making music.
Plus, Cube said he still has a lot to say, which was evident on “Arrest the President.”
“Arrest the president, you got the evidence / That n—a is Russian intelligence / When it rains it pours / Did you know the new white was orange? / Boy, you’re showing your horns / They’re trying to replace my halo with thorns,” he rapped in the song.
