Wendy Williams is officially divorced.
It’s something the talk show host revealed during an interview on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Thursday, and she explained what her life is like these days.
Williams filed for divorce in April of 2019, after it was reported that Hunter fathered a love child with a woman named Sharina Hudson, who he’s been seeing for a reported 10 years.

“After nine months, yes, I am fully divorced. A door has closed in old life, the new chapter has been so lovely,” Williams told Fallon at the 0:59 minute mark of the interview. “I’m not mad. It was 25 years. I don’t regret. But you know what? Sometimes people move on with their lives and I have to tell you something, I no longer live in Jersey. It is Wendy in the city.”
Fallon then asked Williams if she’s currently dating.
“Am I?” she responded. “Do I look like I have a hard time? You know what? Yeah, I date but I love my career. … So I’m actually living my dream. … I really didn’t think it would be this way, but it seems so natural and our son is 19, and he’s off in college, and I wish the other the best. But I date in between handling ‘Wendy.'”
Shortly after Williams filed for divorce, she removed Hunter as the executive producer of “The Wendy Williams Show” and shut down the Kevin Hunter Foundation, a nonprofit that she started with her ex to help people with drug addiction.
Towards the end of the interview, Williams said she’s open to dating all kinds of men but doesn’t like the online dating scene.
“I don’t have a type, by the way, when I date. I love men,” she explained. “No, no I’m not doing that [Tinder], because I like eye-to-eye contact.”

Williams and Hunter got married in 1997 after meeting three years earlier. Their son Kevin Hunter Jr. is the only child they have together.
