‘He’s Good’: Tiffany Haddish Says Kevin Hart is ‘Already Walking’ Since Car Crash

Kevin Hart is already walking after his car crash in Southern California last week, according to his friend Tiffany Haddish. But his injuries are said to be far more serious than initially reported.

Haddish, who co-starred with Hart in films like “Night School” and “Secret Life of Pets 2,spoke with “Entertainment Tonight” while she attended Harper’s Bazaar Icons event in New York on Friday. And she gave a brief update on his condition.

“He’s OK. He’s doing fine,” said Haddish. “As far as I know, from the last I heard, he’s fine. We’ll be starring in movies together. He’ll be back up and Adam. He’s already walking. He’s good.”

But a source for ET said Hart has a long path ahead of him before he fully recovers, because he fractured his spine in three places. And another insider said he’s now on heavy medication.

“Kevin’s spinal injuries are very serious. He sustained several fractures and had no choice but to have surgery as soon as possible,” the source explained. “Since the surgery, he has been heavily sedated. The physicians are doing everything they can to keep him out of pain.”

“The family isn’t ready to talk about it and want privacy at the moment,” added the insider. “They also don’t want people to worry, so [his wife] Eniko has put on a strong face and is saying he is doing well, but it’s very serious. He has suffered a great deal and has a long road ahead.”

Meanwhile, TMZ reports that Hart began physical therapy over the weekend and is walking but isn’t doing as well as Haddish suggested. It’s also been said he’s still in severe pain and walking gingerly, despite his positive attitude.

Hart was sitting in the passenger seat of his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda on Sept. 1 when Jared Black ran off the road near Calabasas, California. The car then crashed through a wooden fence.

Black’s fiancée, Rebecca Broxterman, who’s Eniko Parrish‘s trainer, was in the back seat at the time and suffered only minor injuries. But Black was airlifted to UCLA Medical Center, and his current condition is unknown.

And just like Black and Broxterman, Hart has kept silent about the crash. But his wife spoke to reporters last week, although she kept her comments brief.

“He’s great,” said Parrish. “He’s going to be doing just fine. Everybody’s good. Thank God.”
