R&B artist Tameka “Tiny” Harris is receiving backlash for her response to why she stuck by her rapper husband T.I.‘s side after his alleged extramarital affairs came to light.
Tiny and T.I. are no strangers to their marital drama being in the public eye. The 44-year-old mother of four is often scrutinized by fans for deciding to reconcile with her husband after learning he apparently cheated on her with other women.
However, the “I F–kin Love U” singer said she’s unfazed by critics and ultimately made the best decision for herself.
“I don’t really pay that no attention,” she said of detractors during an interview with WGCI, July 24. “Most of those women that are talking about ‘Oh, you stayed with him after that’ … They’re still with a man that’s cheating probably every day and living probably the worst life. … You know, I am OK.”
Tiny then went on to say she’s not OK with cheating but understands that infidelity comes with being in the music and entertainment industry.
“It’s not like I’m OK with you cheating,” the singer said. “But I know that in this industry it’s going to be tough to keep it all the way together. So you know, I feel like if it’s workable, if there’s still some love there, if we feel like this is what we wanna do, this is what we should do.”
Her interview was immediately slammed by fans who called her response malarkey.
“No! Stop making excuses Tiny! Strong women DO NOT and WILL NOT tolerate certain things. Infidelity is 1 of them in my book! Sorry. It’s 1 thing if you don’t know 🤷🏻♀️.”
“That’s a terrible response. Nothing like some good ole ‘for better or for worse’ Toxic love 😂. Damn she got a white girl mentality.”
“I think that answer was a Whole Joke 👎. No tiny ,that’s her white side ….whether u get gifts are not ..know ur worth sis.”
“Wow she’s weak. She’s basically okaying him cheating on her. So basically, he has money, so I can deal with this as long as he’s giving it to me 🤔.”
Tiny filed for divorce against T.I. once in December 2016 and again in April 2017. The “You Don’t Know Me” rapper had been linked to a few industry girls such as urban model Bernice Burgos, during the duration of their marriage. He was also caught on camera with “Greenleaf” actress Asia’h Epperson last summer, smacking her on the butt and kissing her on the neck. Both parties denied having an affair with each other.
As of recently, Tiny and T.I. have been on good terms. The Atlanta rapper even went all out for his wife’s birthday a few days ago. They tied the knot in 2010 and share seven children together.
