A clip previewing an upcoming confrontation between Evelyn Lozada and Jennifer Williams has fans taking digs at the former.
“Basketball Wives” aired at its regularly scheduled time Wednesday night. The episode primarily focused on the fallout between Kristen Scott and Cece Gutierrez after Ogom “O.G.” Chijindu put it out on front street that Scott’s husband, Thomas, is the adopted son of Byron Scott, who is engaged to Gutierrez.
However, it was a clash between Wiliams and Lozada that was teased online that captured the attention of viewers. The scene saw Lozada run up on a table in an attempt to go after Williams, whom Lozada tossed a cup toward after Williams did the same.
“Stupid b—h!” Lozada exclaims in the footage seen at the end of the video below. Cast members surrounding her are heard shouting, “No, no no!” Meanwhile, Williams shouts, “I ain’t scared!”
The incident, however, left fans feeling less than impressed. They promptly took aim at Lozada, saying the 43-year-old star ought to sit down and deal with her body, which she’s said has been inexplicably aching this season.
“Evelyn is too damn grown for this and she knows it. Trying to climb up on that chair all delicately- woman we know your knees hurt. Sit down.”
“Imagine being in your 40’s and 50’s still climbing tables & being messy. Chile 🤦🏽♀️”
“Evelyn sit ya bad knees ass down.”
“Evelyn always jumping up but never makes an effort to make contact..Like sis ain’t your body feeling weak.”
Williams and Lozada have been at odds since last season when the former allegedly proclaimed Lozada’s daughter was a latchkey kid. Lozada spoke about that on “The Breakfast Club” in June.
“For anybody that knows me … I’m a great mom, I take care of my kids,” she said. “So, that to me, was… it was hurtful. … I know we’ve been through some stuff, but even Tami [Roman] and I, we have never talked about each other’s kid. So that just really hurt my heart.”
The two also were at odds when Lozada confronted Williams about her behavior since the latter’s mother died of cancer in 2015.
“You keep saying that the reason you act like this is because of your mom,” Lozada told her estranged pal. “Honestly, Jennifer, this is disrespectful to your mother.”
“Has your mother died? You can say how you’re gonna be, though!” Williams fired off. But undeterred Lozada answered, “Your mother passes away and you become an a–hole?”
Speaking to Atlanta Black Star last month, Williams said viewers will have to keep watching to discover the fate of her and Lozada’s friendship.
“There’s been a lot of up and downs,” she said. “There hasn’t been — I’m not gonna say one person is totally at fault but there was a lot of s–t that has transpired and you guys are gonna have to stay tuned to see if it gets repaired.”
